Join the Terry Fox Run Zagreb 2025! The Terry Fox Run returns to Jarun Sports and Recreation Centre on Sunday, September 28, 2025, bringing the community together in support of cancer research. Inspired by Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope, this non-competitive event welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels. This year’s proceeds will go to the Ruđer Bošković Institute to fund research into new models for the early detection and treatment of lobular breast cancer. By taking part, you’re helping advance science and giving hope to those affected by cancer. Event details: 📍 Location: Jarun, basketball court by the small lake 🕑 Time: 14:00 – 18:00 👕 Official T-shirts available for a minimum donation of €15 On sale from September 20 at Centar Cvjetni and City Center One East & West (10:00–14:00) Available on race day at Jarun (while supplies last) The run is organized by the Embassy of Canada, MPG, the Croatian League Against Cancer, and the City of Zagreb, with the support of partners including Hotel Esplanade. Dear Cycling Fans, We’ll meet Saturday the 27th of September at around 10:00 a.m. at school to check our gear and head out on our 4 Lakes Tour (Bundek, Jarun, Orešje, Rakitje). We will mostly cycle along the riverbank of the Sava River, surrounded by exciting natural scenery. The trail is pretty flat, 22 km long (one direction), and not too demanding, so the whole family can join us. If you do not have a bike for yourself or your kids, AISZ will provide you with one (we will have 15 Rockrider mountain bikes and 20 bikes suitable for kids in Grades 3-5). If you can not start the cycling tour with us from AISZ, you can join us along the way.

We are excited to come together as a community for another AISZ Community Barbecue! The event will take place on the AISZ Campus on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This annual tradition is a wonderful way to kick off the school year by reconnecting with friends, welcoming new families, and celebrating the spirit of our AISZ community. The barbecue promises to be a day filled with delicious food, fun games for all ages, music, and plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy each other’s company. We encourage everyone to bring their families and join in the festivities—it’s the perfect chance to meet new faces, strengthen connections, and simply enjoy a summer afternoon together.
