AISZ Hosts CEESA MTSS Workshop, Showcasing Leadership in Inclusive Education

The American International School of Zagreb (AISZ) proudly hosted a highly successful workshop on the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) this past weekend. Organized as part of a CEESA (Central and Eastern European Schools Association) event, the workshop attracted educators from across the region, eager to learn from AISZ’s exemplary practices in inclusive education.

The overwhelming interest from other CEESA schools highlights AISZ’s role as a leader in fostering innovation and excellence in student support systems. The event served as a platform for collaboration and professional development, showcasing AISZ’s commitment to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive.

A Model of Inclusive Excellence

The workshop provided participants with a firsthand look at AISZ’s Bridges program, a specialized classroom designed to meet the needs of students requiring intensive support. By opening its doors and sharing its approach, AISZ demonstrated how inclusivity and individualized learning can create powerful outcomes for students.

Educators also had the opportunity to explore AISZ’s strategies for addressing literacy development and supporting diverse learners. Sessions highlighted how the school’s focus on targeted interventions, collaborative planning, and data-driven decisions ensures that all students receive the support they need to succeed.

Additionally, participants engaged in discussions around Tier 3 interventions and best practices for supporting students requiring the most intensive and personalized assistance. These sessions underscored AISZ’s proactive approach to providing meaningful, transformative support that extends beyond academics to include the social and emotional well-being of its students.

Leading Through Collaboration

Hosting a CEESA-wide workshop reaffirmed AISZ’s commitment to collaboration and shared learning across schools. By bringing educators together, AISZ facilitated valuable exchanges of ideas and practices that strengthen the educational community throughout the region. The workshop was a testament to AISZ’s belief that schools grow stronger when they work together to address shared challenges and embrace innovative solutions.

Events like this remind us that great education is built on the foundation of shared knowledge and a collective commitment to helping every student succeed.
