Zagreb Math Competition

Update from the event:

It has been several years since AISZ hosted a citywide math competition. We were very pleased to host 4 schools and over a hundred students from around the city on Friday. Some of the categories ranged from geometry and trigonometry challenges to quadratic equations and team oriented math puzzles.

A special thanks to our 12th grade student Seunggi Chae for managing the event coordination and to our math team led by Mr. Driggs, Ms. Kite, and Mr. McLoughlin for inviting the local schools and supporting this exciting opportunity.

On Friday, January 20, 2023, AISZ will host a math competition with neighboring schools. AISZ has hosted many math competitions in the past but was unable to in the last two years due to COVID. As regulations start to get more lax, we are able to enjoy events such as these that enable people in our community to explore their interests.

This math competition was designed to incentivize 9th and 10th grade students to participate in more activities that can permit their further mathematics studies. This competition will be a challenge that introduces new math concepts to test their limits but will also act as a catalyst for students to develop their teamwork skills and their bonds between peers.

The entirety of the 9th and 10th grade AISZ student body will participate and we hope they do their best but, most importantly, have fun in the process.

Go Bears!!!
