At the AISZ, student safety is a top priority. In collaboration with HAK (Hrvatski autoklub), AISZ recently organized an educational event aimed at raising awareness about the critical importance of wearing seatbelts while driving or riding in vehicles. The event, held at AISZ and attended by Grade 12 students, was designed to provide practical knowledge about the risks of neglecting seatbelt safety and how proper precautions can save lives.
HAK, Croatia’s leading authority on vehicle safety and road awareness, partnered with AISZ to deliver this informative session. The main focus was to teach Grade 12 students the essential role seatbelts play in protecting passengers in both everyday driving and in the event of an accident. With a clear and impactful presentation, HAK emphasized how even short trips require vigilance in terms of road safety.
To drive the message home, HAK brought along a state-of-the-art simulator car, giving students the chance to experience firsthand what can happen when a seatbelt isn’t worn. The simulator allowed students to safely observe the dramatic consequences of sudden stops or collisions without a seatbelt, providing a powerful and memorable lesson. This practical demonstration was highly effective in showing the risks that many people underestimate or take for granted.
At AISZ, fostering a culture of safety is an ongoing effort, and events like this play an essential role in our broader mission. By partnering with organizations such as HAK, AISZ ensures that our students not only excel academically but also grow as responsible and safety-conscious individuals. Road safety is just one of many aspects of a comprehensive education, and we are proud to offer experiences that contribute to the well-being of our community.
