After School Activities

AISZ is the only school in Zagreb competing in CEESA — the Central and Eastern European Schools Association — one of the most prestigious international school athletics networks in the region. Our teams train and compete against international schools across Central and Eastern Europe in a range of sports, travelling to other cities and hosting tournaments on our own courts and pitches.

Sports on offer include volleyball, football, basketball, tennis, and cross country. Whether students are competing at the highest level or picking up a sport for the first time, our athletics program is designed to build teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong love of physical activity. Our campus facilities — including a full-size gymnasium, fitness room, four tennis courts, and a football pitch — mean students have everything they need to train and compete at their best.

At AISZ, we believe students should graduate ready for the world as it is — not the world as it was. That is why our activities program includes forward-thinking opportunities that develop the skills most in demand in today's creative and professional landscape.

Students can get hands-on with podcasting, content creation, audio-visual production, graphic design, event management and public speaking — gaining real experience in areas that translate directly into the careers shaping our world. From producing content in our recording studio to leading and managing school events, from designing visual communications to taking the stage at Model UN and Speech & Debate, AISZ students don't just learn about these skills — they practise them.

Other activities include robotics, chess, creative writing, environmental clubs, pottery, and Mathcounts for mathematically minded students who love a challenge.
