AISZ 2025-26 Admissions Process

2025-26 Application Timelines

Early Admission

  • Deadline: December 2, 2024 – January 27, 2025
  • Next Steps Notification: February 14, 2025*
    Ideal for families relocating to Croatia or students who are non-native Croatian speakers. Please note that applications may be deferred to a waiting list if necessary.

Regular Admission

  • Deadline: March 24, 2025
  • Next Steps Notification: April 18, 2025
    Open to all families relocating or already living in Croatia, including students transitioning from local Croatian schools.

Rolling Admission

  • Applications submitted after March 24, 2025, will be reviewed individually. Families can typically expect updates within ten business days of application completion, though processing times during holidays may extend to four weeks.

Some grade levels, particularly in High School, may have limited availability. Contact the Admissions Office for details.

Assessment Requirements

  • Middle School (Grades 6-8): English assessment for non-native speakers, with possible additional assessments if needed.
  • High School (Grades 9-12): All applicants will complete a Math assessment and an online interview. Non-native English speakers will also undergo an English assessment.
    All assessments must be supervised by AISZ or the applicant’s current school.

Grades 11 and 12 Specifics 

Applications for Grades 11 and 12 must be submitted by September 1, 2025. Grade 12 admissions are rare and considered only under extenuating circumstances due to curriculum continuity. Students without prior International Baccalaureate (IB) experience may be placed in Grade 11 classes.

Waitlist Details

If a grade level reaches capacity, accepted students may be placed on a waiting list. The waitlist is valid for one academic year, and families will be contacted regarding their status near the end of the academic year.

Current 2024-25 Updates

Applications for the current academic year are reviewed individually on a rolling basis until March 2025.

Seats are still available in most grade levels, with the following exceptions:

  • Grade 9: Full (waitlist only)
  • Grades 11 and 12: No longer accepting applications

Important Reminder for Relocating Families

Please do not disenroll your child from their current school until you receive confirmation of acceptance from AISZ. Submitting an application does not guarantee admission.
