Scholarship & Financial Aid

At AISZ, we believe that talent and potential should not be limited by financial circumstances. We are proud to offer two pathways to make an AISZ education more accessible — the Croatian Young Leaders Scholarship Program for exceptional Croatian students entering High School, and a Financial Assistance program for families in need of tuition support.

The CYL Scholarship is one of the most generous scholarship programs offered by any international school in Croatia. It awards Croatian students entering Grades 9, 10, or 11 a 90% discount on tuition for up to four years — opening the door to a full international education, including the IB Diploma Programme, at one of Zagreb's most respected schools.

Previous scholarship recipients have gone on to earn the IB Diploma and gain places at leading universities across Europe and around the world. The program has a clear and meaningful purpose: to identify Croatia's most talented and motivated young people and give them access to a world-class education that will shape their futures.

Candidates must be Croatian citizens (dual nationality is acceptable) who have been educated according to the Croatian national curriculum, entering Grade 9, 10, or 11 at AISZ for the first time. They must demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, engagement in co-curricular activities, and financial need, as well as strong written and spoken English.

Selection is based on a comprehensive process including an application form and essay, three years of school reports, AISZ academic and English proficiency assessments, teacher recommendations, an impromptu writing sample, and a personal interview.

AISZ also offers a tuition reduction program for families in Grades 1–12 who are private payers and in need of financial support. Financial Assistance is awarded based on demonstrated need and is reviewed annually. Recipients are expected to maintain a positive academic record and active engagement with school life in order to retain their award year to year.
